EMBL Grenoble

The Instruct Centre at EMBL Grenoble provides access to automated protein-to-structure and fragment screening crystallography pipelines

The Instruct Centre EMBL Grenoble is a key player in the Partnership for Structural Biology (PSB) through which the Grenoble European Photon and Neutron (EPN) Campus institutes – EMBL, the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF), the Institut Laue-Langevin, and the Institut de Biologie Structurale (IBS) – provide a uniquely comprehensive range of structural biology platforms for sample production, sample characterization and structure determination.  EMBL Grenoble operates the High Throughput Crystallization Facility (HTX lab). This facility offers access to fully automated, remote controlled crystallography pipelines based on the CrystalDirect technology and the CRIMS software. Data collection is carried out at the ESRF MX beamlines operated by the ESRF- EMBL Joint Structural Biology Group.  EMBL Grenoble is also a partner in FRISBI (French Infrastructure for Structural Biology). Instruct access opportunities at EMBL Grenoble include:

• High throughput crystallization
• Online Crystallography (protein-to-structure pipeline)
• Fragment Screening
• Screening and structural characterization of ligand-target complexes
