We are looking for a Scientific Business Development Associate to join our business development team at Peak Proteins. The business development team is customer facing and involved in identifying new customers, leading initial client introductions and discussions, generating cost estimates and detailed proposals for clients based on initial discussions, as well as representing Peak Proteins at external meetings and conferences. Internally, the team is responsible for developing and delivering our marketing strategy by promoting Peak Proteins through our various network channels. Peak Proteins is a vibrant contract research organisation (CRO) that provides research services to clients globally. These services include the engineering of tailored proteins for a variety of different end-uses such as biochemical screening, biophysics, diagnostics and biologics drug discovery. In addition, we perform protein structure determination by X-ray crystallography and provide a protein mass spectrometry service. Our passion is to provide clients with the protein related tools and information they need to successfully progress their projects.
We require the successful candidate to have lab-based knowledge and skills in recombinant protein production and/or crystallography, ideally with an BSc/MSc or PhD in Biochemistry or a related discipline. Whilst previous experience in business development would be an advantage, we are interested to hear from a skilled scientist who is either looking for, or has already taken steps into, a scientific business development role. The required training and support would be given to candidates who are enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a strong desire to develop business skills and knowledge in the commercial aspects of a CRO.
