Call open for Instruct Research Sites

29-Mar-2021

The Instruct-ERIC call for applications for new Research Sites is now open for organisations in member countries and organisations.

Instruct Research sites may be a structural biology institution or research facility in a member country, or a consortium of national institutions within the member or organisation.

Successful research sites or consortiums may offer:

  • Training and internships

  • Outreach and networking activities
  • Strong connection with the central organisation structure

An opportunity also exists to pilot a unique structural biology service that is available at the site, through hosting internships or other awardees to undertake project work requiring the new service. You may use this experience of service provision towards a future application for an Instruct Centre.

Instruct-ERIC is made up of 26 facilities across 15 member countries – the ever-expanding portfolio of facilities and Research Sites allows Instruct to offer an even more comprehensive research infrastructure for its members.

Applications for a Research Site should be submitted by your national representative in the Instruct-ERIC Council to the Instruct Director using our online form addressing the following criteria:

  • Provide a demonstrable commitment to provide training within the framework of the Training Committee guidelines in technologies that are central to the vision of Instruct and essential for its success
  • Demonstrate a track record of scientific collaboration and a significant contribution in a field of research relevant to Instruct
  • Be willing to comply with Instruct policies

For more information on submission guidelines, visit the Research Site call page.

If you do not know your representative on the Instruct Council, please contact us.

The deadline for application is the 30th of April 2021. If you have any questions please contact support@instruct-eric.org.
