This position requires expertise in biological cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the in-house transmission electron microscopes (TEMs) and accessory equipment in excellent working order as well as training new users, scheduling access, and assisting with the collection of high-quality data. Duties will include providing complex technical support for sophisticated biotech-laboratory equipment including maintenance, calibration, repair and troubleshooting of instrumentation, control systems, experimental apparatuses, computers, and peripheral equipment as well as coordinating and scheduling vendor-related maintenance and repairs.
This is a full time, 3 year, term appointment with the possibility of extension or conversion to a Career appointment based upon satisfactory job performance, continuing availability of funds and ongoing operational needs.
