An EM Research Specialist is sought to join the EM & Ultrastructural Pathology Facility at the MRC Toxicology Unit, University of Cambridge. The Facility performs a fundamental role at the heart of the Unit's research providing expertise in experimentation and processing on a broad range of samples for molecular and cellular toxicology.
As the Unit's EM Research Specialist you will be responsible for providing high quality imaging for the Toxicology Unit's scientific programmes. This includes initial research consultation, sample preparation, image acquisition and data processing for scientists and students. You will work on several of the Unit's EM research projects involving large-volume SEM and 3D-TEM, providing specialist technical support in order to develop the translation of basic research into clinically and public health-relevant outcomes.
You will have a degree in a scientific discipline, preferably with a PhD. Experience in the following is essential, but are not limited to:
